Best practices for sharing your project and finding help

  1. Create a project on codeforphilly.org, add your teammates, and provide a brief markdown-formatted description of your project and its objectives.
  2. Create a repository on github if applicable and link to your repository from the “Developers URL” field in your project
  3. File github issues for any tasks you think of and add the “help wanted” label if no one is working on it
  4. Add a civic.json file to your repository: https://github.com/codeforamerica/cfapi#civicjson

Issues tagged “help wanted” in github repos linked to as developer URL from a project on codeforphilly.org should get scooped up in Code for America’s national Civic Tech Issue Finder
