Senior Manager, Network Talent Initiative @ Code for America (remote!)

Finally, a remote-friendly job at Code for America!

This role is for someone who loves helping people find their dream jobs, convincing established organizations to make big strategic hiring decisions, and imagining/building a world where the best talent on earth is obsessed with building services to support their most vulnerable neighbors.

Code for America believes government can work for the people, by the people in the 21st century. We build open source technology and organize a network of people dedicated to making government services simple, effective, and easy to use. Our talent initiative aims to build structured and sustainable pathways for people to find meaningful career opportunities in public interest technology – whether it’s as a software engineer at a cutting-edge company serving government, or as a Digital Service lead for a state.

The Senior Manager, Network Talent Initiative will join the Code for America Network Team and report to the Senior Director of Network, Erie Meyer. This person will work with the Network Team on the program’s overarching mission to create the conditions to transform how government works for and by the people. They will collaborate to support a network of volunteers called Brigades and support their government partners, to identify promising practices and scale these to new jurisdictions and to connect this distributed network to the Code for America headquarters. The Senior Manager, Network Talent Initiative will serve as the lead staff person in helping governments hire technologists and will share the public interest technology story and best practices with the larger community.
